The hotel has been the chosen venue for countless weddings throughout its 250 year history & is ideally situated opposite the parish church. We are also licensed to perform civil ceremonies & our versatile Paddock Suite can be personalised to your exact requirements, allowing you to create the perfect surroundings in which to make your vows.
The walled garden & bowling green, bedecked with a colourful display of hanging baskets & planters throughout the summer months, offers the ideal location for guests to socialise as well as a picturesque backdrop upon which to create enchanting photographs.

The Wynnstay is an approved venue for civil ceremonies, offering an intimate atmosphere, whether you wish to accommodate two guests or two hundred. making your vows here with us enables you to hold the ceremony, wedding breakfast & evening reception all under one roof. in between the formalities & the wedding breakfast, your guests can retire to our walled garden for a glamorous reception of cocktails & canapés. Once the provisional arrangements for your wedding have been made, you will need to contact Shrewsbury registration Service on 0845 678 9016 in order to book their services. Hiring our Paddock Suite for your civil ceremony costs just £350.
THE WEDDING BREAKFAST
most of our couples choose to host their wedding Breakfast in the Paddock Suite, which can accommodate up to 180 guests but can also be altered in size in order to maintain an intimate atmosphere. However, smaller wedding parties of up to 50 guests can also be catered for in our elegant restaurant. you will find an exciting range of bespoke menu selections to choose from when planning your wedding Breakfast. The wedding Package includes a three-course wedding Breakfast, arrival drink, two glasses of wine served with the meal & a glass of sparkling wine for the toast. Our extensive menus are prepared with flair & passion by our skilled team of chefs, who are also happy to take requests & create your own favourite dishes as well as cater for any individual dietary requirements.
THE EVENING RECEPTION
the Paddock Suite is the perfect place to continue your celebrations into the evening with a selection of gourmet hotdogs & our resident DJ allowing you to share your special day with an even greater number of friends. Our delicious hotdogs are crafted using the finest local ingredients & will be served directly to your guests on silver trays by our elegant waiting staff at two points during the evening, to ensure your guests are kept seated without the need to interrupt the flow of your celebrations.
We can also accommodate entertainment acts of your choice or are happy to recommend a selection of local bands and variety performers to help get your guests in the party spirit & create an unforgettable night.
Hotdogs for all your guests & the DJ are included in your wedding Package. entertainment supplied by the client will be subject to a £50 surcharge. alternative catering options are also available at an additional cost.
